Continuing Audit

Maintenance of credentialing:

Once an operator is fully credentialled, they are required to participate in annual audit to remain fully credentialled. If they are performing scans within a centre that has the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) Software they are required to submit 5 images for assessment along with the centre data file from the centre or centres that they work at and at other times as requested by the assessor. (Five images only, not 5 images from each centre).

The first major audit is due on 1st June and the second (a minor audit) is due on 1st November . Some centres that are performing to standard may not be required to submit data or images for the minor audit in November.

Following submission of data and images, the centre receives an audit report with detailed feedback on the centre's performance and individual's distributions. The operator will also receive a report with feedback on their images and an overall classification on their performance.

If an operator is performing scans at a centre that is not using the FMF software, they need to submit 5 images annually to remain fully credentialled. Operators would need to pass 4/5 of those submitted images. The images would need to be clearly marked “Re-credentialling”.
